Book Reviews: Practical Demonkeeping + Corporate Mentality

Practical Demonkeeping by Christopher Moore
This 1992 novel from the author of ‘The Lust Lizard Of Melancholy Cove’, ‘Island Of The Sequinned Love Nun’, ‘Lamb’, ‘Bloodsucking Fiends’ and ‘The Stupidest Angel’ is nothing but a nuisance. A man and a demon arrive in the hipster town of Pine Cover and emotional turmoil is had. This was a collection of boring inadequacies.

Best Line:
“I’ve seen more intelligence in the crotch lice of harem whores.”

Corporate Mentality by Steven Piziks
This 1999 novel is a sequel to the far superior ‘In The Company Of Mind’. Transhuman DID sufferer Lance is divorced with two children and lives happily, only not really. His obnoxious brats take up the majority of the novel as they whine and have issues. Meanwhile far far away another transhuman plots to take over the galaxy with made up computer technology. This was boring, dated and has an insulting ass-pull twist that undoes the happy ending of ‘In The Company Of Mind’. This was a horrible wretched mess.
