Cleared out a 1997 tape. It began with a ‘Babylon 5’ ep ‘Ship Of Tears’ in which the weak and despicable Ivanova berates Bester. This had no probity and was not solid or steady. G’Kar wants into the cool kids club. Hair-pieces are worn. Delenn justifies her shamelessness. The Shadows use telepaths as batteries or something. This was ridic with flat acting.
Best Lines:

“We’re not expendable.”
Then came another ‘Babylon 5’ ep ‘Interludes And Examinations’ in which the crew have whatever implements they want to exact revenge on the Shadows - they just don’t do anything. Morden lurks, Franklin is a drug addict and Londo’s virulent covetousness goes on. Londo thinks of his lost love Adira. The whiff of conspiracy is in the air. Sheridan yells and the Shadows kill Kosh. This was silly.
Best Line:
“You may come to regret it.”
Then came a ‘Xena Warrior Princess’ ep ‘Ten Little Warlords’ in which Xena is in the body of Callisto. Xena encounters Ares who has lost his godhood/sword. Joxer lurks. There is too much yap and this was not the grimmest fare it could have been. There is bad 90s SFX.
Best Line:
“Give my regards to Hades.”
Then finally there was an ‘X Files’ ep ‘Synchrony’ in which time travel is muttered about, there is murder and 90s fashion. There is secretiveness, a cyro-biologist and all the fuss is over a rapid freezing agent. There is bad acting so even a nicely ominous end scene can’t save this iffy ep.
