Hollywoodland (2006)
A grubby PI (Adrien Brody) looks into the suicide of TV’s Superman George Reeves (Ben Affleck) in 1950’s LA. This was slow. Reeves was kind of a jerk who had discontentment with his career. He sits around in his Superman outfit and drinks and smokes and later burns the suit on a BBQ. Then he dies mysteriously. This was remarkably unsuccessful.
Best Lines:
“That’s the best you were ever going to be. I knew that. Why didn’t you?”
“Superman doesn’t smoke.”
“Since when do suicides miss twice, lay down on the rug and start over?”

A Vietnam film with Willem Dafoe, Scott Glenn and Amanda Pays. It devours time.
Solitaire For 2 (1995)
A delightful Brit flick comedy with Amanda Pays (who wears horrid outdated clothes), the late Mark Frankel and Right Said Fred. It is sweet but there is no DVD!
