The 1983 TV movie ‘Deadly Lessons’ had a print ad that read ’Kiss The Girls and make them sigh. Hunt them down and watch them die’. WTF?
On ‘Hollyoaks’: Theresa ducks out of the kidney transplant donation due to her fear of “urine leakage” but is shamed into doing it. Maxine is acquitted of whatever she was charged with and is reunited with Minnie thanks to Nancy. Dodger is useless.
On ‘Neighbours’: Rain is obviously recruiting Amber into a cult via being a co-dependent stalker clinging vine. Lauren is worried, morally dubious and Terese is an angry shrewish type. Rain has an ex called Wolfie and Daniel is a buffoon. Brad resents his wife for making him get a job. Brad’s reinterpretation of the past and habitual pattern of non-compliance with sense jeopardises his marriage. No prospects for reconciliation. Paige stirs the pot more. Brennan dumps Paige. Brad is an ass to Terese. So she heads off to ex Ezra.

Cleared out a 2001 tape. It began with a ‘Xena: Warrior Princess’ ep ‘Send In The Clones’ in which modern day fans clone the duo. There is sexism, mocking of tropes, clips and TPTB continue to undermine their own show. The show was already ravaged at this point anyway. There is outdated computer technology, a loud and leery pervert, non-adherence to canon and Alti. My interest ebbed long before the end credits. This was not ingenious, had stupid fights and was unequivocally terrible.
Best Lines:

“This hideous TV show.”
Then came a ‘Nash Bridges’ ep ‘The Partner’ in which Nash drives around without a hint of self-irony. Morally dubious things are done in this generic ep. A staunchly fake Scottish accent is used and someone gets bitten on the nads by a dog.
Then came an ‘Andromeda’ ep ‘Pitiless as the Sun’ in which there is bad CGI, plastic ugly costumes, bad make-up and a mystery about Trance. She would later be revealed as the avatar of a sun or something. A man (William B. Davis) asks Trance questions and has discord. His core interest is in finding out what she is. I felt detached. Trance misrepresents herself, has no credibility and is oppositional. The man’s cognitive dissonance reduction strategies fail. TPTB only carried about wigs and make-up not story structure. My interest was non-existent. Trance’s teeth follow you around the room.

“I want to know why when I scan you I’m unable to detect anything remotely resembling life-signs as we know them.”

Finally there was a ‘Charmed’ ep ‘Just Harried’ in which Piper and Leo marry. There are ghosts, a guest appearance by Dana Ashbrook, a Wiccan handfasting and Prue is a thot and makes it all about her. There is no mention of Paige, Piper has an ugly veil, Phoebe is ungrateful of Cole’s love, Leo shows off his magic balls and there is asexual kissing. This was not exemplary or innovative.
