2x04 Children Shouldn’t Play With Dead Things
A man brings back his dead love. She’s a murderous zombie in an uplifting white nightdress. Dean has angst about his resurrection. Poor little fool has no idea what is coming. Good.
"These things are vicious, they’re violent. They’re so nasty they rot the ground around them. I mean, come on! Haven’t you seen ‘Pet Semetary’?”
2x05 Simon Said
Dean and Sam run into some of the Special Children and the Roadhouse gang won’t go away. This was goodish but the Special Children and the Roadhouse are plot points now long forgotten by TPTB.
2x06 No Exit
Jo invites herself along on a hunt and screws up. Fingers reach out of a vent, there are scratch marks on stone and Jo is an immature bitch as is her mother Ellen. This was good.
2x08 Crossroad Blues
Crossroads demons are looked into by Sam and Dean. John is in hell. Very good.
A demonic virus is loose in a small town. Sam is snotty and Dean is dumb. Naturally TPTB have long forgotten the demon virus. Okay.
Sam is self-absorbed and selfish. Ava debuts. Okay.
Sam and Dean get caught up in a bank siege. The FBI manhunt for them steps up. This was good.
“You don’t know crap about my dad.”
“Ex-marine, raised his kids on the road. Cheap motels, backwoods cabins, real paramilitary survivalist type. I just can’t get a handle on what type of whacko he was.”
2x14 Born Under A Bad Sign
Sam is possessed by Meg. Dean punches Sam, Meg beats up Dean and Jo and this was very good.
“My dad, he shot your daddy in the head.”
A woman (Tricia Helfer) is in peril. Sam and Dean ghost hunt. Very good.
2x18 Hollywood Babylon
A movie set is haunted. Sam and Dean show up to save the day. Gary Cole guest stars. Goodish.
“We must have brought them back! Back from hell! Again!”
2x19 Folsom Prison Blues
Sam and Dean get themselves thrown in jail by their FBI pursuer. They have an ally in prison guard Deacon, who sadly has never returned to the show. Good.
“He just keeps staring at me in a way that makes me really uneasy.”
2x20 What Is And What Should Never Be
Dean has a run-in with a djinn and has a vision of an AU where he joyfully mows the lawn with a lawnmower that isn’t even on. This was okay sap and an interesting twist on genies.
