Book Review: Red Hill

Red Hill by Jamie McGuire
The world ends due to a zombie virus. Three survivors narrate their tales of survival. This was okay but over-reliant on coincidences. Miranda is a student and the author distains her as a floozy trollop. Nathan is a doormat and the irritating Scarlet is a selfish, delusional hosebeast who gets other people killed yet the author reveres her as the heroine of the piece. If a post-apoc word is to be rebuilt by infuriating cows like Scarlet then we may as well give up on civilisation and return to the caves.

Best Lines:
“In about a week, we’re going to miss toothpaste.”

“So there’s nothing left? Of anything?”

“It’s everywhere.”
