Movie Review: Buried Alive

Buried Alive (2007)
Six idiot college students head into the desert for some hijinks. It's the brain-child of Zane (Terence Jay - the poor man's Bret Harrison) who is off his meds and looking for his great grand-daddy's gold.

After arriving at Zane's family hacienda in the desert, the gang meet the crazy caretaker Lester (Tobin Bell of 'Alias' & 'Saw') who mutters dire warnings. Nobody listens but soon enough they realise they should have taken those stories of how Zane's great-grand-daddy buried his first wife alive seriously. She's back and she's pissed.

'Buried Alive' is an old school slasher. It's got idiots, an axe, gratuitous nudity, two sorority girls in fancy dress, over sexed cousins, callous disregard for friends safety and a sexually inappropriate caretaker who talks about himself in the third person.

It's got some very funny moments and a nasty downbeat ending. If you're in the mood for some 80's type stalk and slash, this is for you.

Best Line:
"Lester ain't got no cable."
