Cold Days by Jim Butcher
The latest entry in ‘The Dresden Files’ is overlong and a bit dull. Harry is back from the dead, full of new powers and everyone is afraid of him and worried he is going dark side. Nothing new there. The big enemy that has been there all along is revealed as some Lovecraft knockoff. There is endless boring sidhe soap opera, fights, revelations and twists. So endless are these plot shenanigans they practically fall off the page and into your lap. But it is all too much and I didn’t really care about any of it. This book wants to be epic but felt more like padding. Maybe ‘Skin Game’ will be better.
