A man's family are murdered but a plea bargain means one killer escapes justice. 10 years later the enraged husband Clyde emerges to take bloody revenge on the entire justice system. He kills the killers, is jailed and still manages to keep on killing. It's all a bit improbable and the trailer gives 98% of the plot away.
Negative group behaviour is repaid, Colm Meaney has a dreadful US accent and the guy who made the plea bargain gets promoted because of all this? WTF?!? This is okay.
Best Line:
"It's gonna be biblical."

Enough (2002)
A badly acted rip off of 'Sleeping With The Enemy' sees JLO marry a Nice Guy who turns out to be a violent nutjob. She runs away with their daughter, her crazy hubby chases her, she learns martial arts and gets rid of him. This was boring and how did the nutjob hubby acquire an army of minions anyway?

Brick (2005)
A noir tale set in a school. Brendan (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) pines for his ex Emily (Emilie De Ravin of 'Lost') who is in trouble and a bit dim. Brendan decides to "break some deserving teeth" and he and his fellow students talk in hardboiled slang and the school's seedy 'Twin Peaks' like underbelly is revealed. This was enjoyable with drug dealers, guns, fights and femme fatales.
Best Lines:
"Maybe I'll just sit here and bleed at you."
"What are you doing here?"
"Leaving."
"I got all five senses and I slept last night which puts me six up on the lot of you."
