We get flashbacks to Nikki in 1973. Buffy seals with her latest issue by hanging out with Robin. For some bizarre reason Robin says Buffy is so much better and capable than his mother. Spike hangs out with an SFPD officer named Dowling. The Spike/Buffy love is bigged up by Dowling. Buffy makes a decision. This was okay but it felt totally contrived.
