Doctor Who: The Pandorica Opens Review

Doesn't the Doctor know that he is the most feared being in the universe? Well he does now. A Van Gogh painting of the Tardis blowing up and the Pandorica a prison for the most feared being in the universe intrigue the Doctor. He, Amy and River run around Stonehenge trying to solve the mystery. I think TPTB saw 'Prince of Darkness'. This was okay but this series two parters disappoint as part two is always, always rubbish.

Daleks, Cybermen, Judoon, Sontarans and various other enemies of the Doctor show up and they have a plan. Amy is worthless and fights a Cyberman's head. The Cybermen quote the Borg. Rory shows up back from the dead or is he? Bad things happen to various people and there is a creepy final image. I cannot see how the next episode can resolve this.

Best Lines:
"Arise Roman person."

"What could inspire that level of fear?"

"A nameless terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos and nothing could stop it or hold it or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world."

"They'll never expect three people to attack 12,000 Dalek battleships cos we'd be killed instantly."

"We've been playing host to Cleopatra, who's in Egypt and dead."

"It's just like being an organ donor except you're alive and sort of screaming."
