These Violent Delights Have Violent Ends

I Am Jackie O (2020)

A documentary about the former first lady. Jackie was shy, she worked for a paper, met JFK and they had a massive wedding. A lot of old footage is shown. There is talk of politics and we see footage of Jackie speaking Spanish for JFK ads. She could also speak Italian and French.

Johnson is barely mentioned in this. Jackie hated hats apparently. JFK Jnr and Caroline were born. Her 'work' is talked about but she didn't actually do anything. Her White House tour aired on all 3 networks. JFK was such a small part of her life. Cuba caused issues twice.

She held concerts in the White House inlcuding a jazz one. She was everywhere even on 'The Flintstones'. She wore hats and people say she was nice and involved even though that is not what Kitty Kelley's book said. Her childhood was fraught with tension. What is the social register?

Footage shows Kennedy wives with sun damage and horrible lipstick. She liked horses and was called a jet setter. Dallas happened. She then married the Greek. There is talk of narcissim but no mention of Maria Callas.

A paparazzi speaks. Onassis looked much older than he was. There was odd symmetry. Onassis died and Christina O hated her stepmother. Ted Kennedy is mentioned as is RFK. Jackie saved Grand Central Station and was involved with the Met. Gloria Steinem speaks and Jackie was on the cover of Ms Magazine. She worked in publishing and book editing for 30 years. When she was dying she burnt letters. She died aged 64 in 1994. This was okay but so full of BS.

The Little Things (2021)

A serial killer in 1990. Jared Leto stars as an incredibly obvious serial killer suspect. This was unwatchable. There are 3 oscar winners in this this. It took 30 years to get this made. This was tepid. Leto does his Leto crap and overacts. There will be a cataclysmic outcome and an impending reckoning. This swiftly becomes irrelevant. This was oscar bait. Men are loud and angry. Leto is an obvious criminal and maniac and has a rise to a supremecy of darkness. This crap leaves you affronted. This film was a grave mistake and particularly detrimental. This was not memorable experience. This is not a forceful attack. This was boring and annoying. Did none of TPTB have serious concerns that this was crap?

Roald Dahl's The Witches (2020)

Chris Rock stars with Octavia Spencer in this remake of the novel. This was set in 1968. There is a slide show, a cat and Anne Hathaway doing a weird accent and overacting wildly. A boy and his grandmother are in peril from witches. There are mice and a faceoff with witches. There are wicked witches and OTT acting and an evil plan and talking mice and Stanley Tucci. This was horrid.

2-Headed Shark Attack (2012)

They made 4 of these movies? Carmen Electra, Brooke Hogan and Charlie O'Connell star alongside bad VFX and morons. This was rubbish.

~
3-Headed Shark Attack (2015)

Rob Van Dam, Danny Trejo and Karrueche Tran star in this reduced circumstrances sequel. There is T&A and terrible vfx and the male gaze. This was a sorry thing indeed. This leaves you unenthusiastic. This was remarkably reprehensible. This has a littleness and is stupid.

Dogtown And Z-Boys (2001)

The 1970s skateboarding scene is discussed and shown in vintage footage. There is mumbling and a dead pigeon and 1 girl. There is talk of surfing and dodgy dudes and fights and they were the bad crowd. There are hippies freaks and it was difficult to buy a skateboard in the 70s. There was conceited independence and unfortuante choices. The old footage shows people who needed a good wash. There was drought in the 70s and empty pools that people skateboarded in.

Skateboarding made a comeback in the 70s and we see old articles in 'Skateboarder' magazine which was a big deal for 7/11. A skateboarder made a cameo in 'Charlie's Angels'. There was fame, money and drugs. This was obsolete and full of padding. One former skateboarder ended up in jail.
