Batman: Fortress Issue 4 Reviewed

Batman has his batjet and logoed winter gear. This folly was horrifically bad. The Fortress Of Solitude is missing. There are persistent misfortunes and Batman still won't shave. The evil aliens whine. There is no storytelling, clarity, pacing or emotion. This was not visceral or nuanced. This was just inadequate. An alien rabbit talks. Bruce wants to be hailed as a hero. This was mad and bad. Bruce lurks around a fortress of foreigners. Bruce hangs out with a talking chimp. There are deep uncertainties.

“Yeah, I'm the president.”

“Security from what?”

“It's a scared place, a temple to everything he stands for.”

“You want to talk to me like I'm the unhinged one, maybe save it for when you're not dressed up like a bat.”

“You lost another batwing?”

“Who are you?”
