The Sandman (2022) 1x01&1x03 Reviewed 👎👎

Sleep Of The Just

This was motely and a would be quixotic oddity populated by deluded psychopaths. This was ignominious. Morpheus aka the sandman falls pray to an occulist looking to summon and imprison Death in 1916. Tom Sturridge, Boyd Holbrook, Patton Oswalt, Gwendoline Christie, Jenna Coleman and David Thewlis and Stephen Fry star in this widely praised fantasy.

This was ignominious, substandard and poorly received by me. This was bad, weary and worryingly dull. I've never read the Neil Gaiman comics this is based on. There is a pompous voiceover. The Robert Smith of The Cure looking Morpheus promises ramifications. There is such obvious green screen and a dragon and a unicorn.

There is a creepy mask and a tacit alliance and geostrategic nightmares. Morpheus was caged for a century due to selfish morons. The baddie annoys. Morpheus learns his realm has crumbled and all the wonders are gone. This was rubbish, weak and utter BOLLOCKS!

Best Lines:

“Another life which awaits you.”

“Freedom and adventure.”

“Weary of your duties.”

“My purpose and my function.”

“A rogue nightmare.”

Dream A Little Dream Of Me

There is established behaviour. There are dark days and emotional hunger and this was all done with laughable deadly seriousness. This was confusing and po faced. Joely Richardson lurks. Coleman plays a gender swapped Constantine. She has a mockney accent and over-acts. I can't take this absurd miscalculation anymore.

Best Lines:

“Wants his sand!”

“Summoning demons? For fun?”

“This could get awkward.”
