Book Reviews: Dune Messiah + Children Of Dune
Dune Messiah/Children Of Dune by Frank Herber
Unreadable terrible sequels to a classic. There were 3 MORE sequels after them. No, words cannot describe how uninterested I am. Herbert has a penchant for hyperbole and daft scenarios and declamatory grandiloquence. These 2 sequels are particularly squalid compared to the coruscating brilliance of the original. Baddies have rotten practices and the goodies have perky defiance. There is would be operatic grandiosity. These are not mesmeric just unspectacular.
