Watched 'The Killer Nanny: Did She Do It?' 1x01&1x02: this 2022 Channel 4 limited series covers the 25 year old Louise Woodward case. She was the UK au pair to 2 American doctors. Their son Matthew died and she was blamed. Why 2 doctors had an au pair instead of a nanny is not explained. The paramedic and prosecutor from 1997 speak. The level of venom they still have for Woodward is scary, they will not admit a mistake was made.
Woodward is from Cheshire. Matthew's mother seems so fake and attention seeking. There is much over-reaction by smug yanks. So what if Woodward saw 'Rent' 18 times? If the family thought she wasn't working hard enough, why did they keep her on? Hate mail is discussed.
Woodward was railroaded. Why weren't his parents ever investigated for MSBP? The mother has a big 'I am the victim' bug eyed smug bitchface. She got hostile attention and she deserved it. The WM3 had taken place years before this, nobody in the UK had heard of the WM3 yet. 2 of the jury are interviewed, they are horrible. The parents were attention seeking. Woodward was convicted and had a breakdown in court. Unlike the WM3, this error would be rectified quickly.

Watched 'The Murders At Starved Rock' 1x01&1x02. This HBO documentary covers the 1960 murders of 3 women in a state park. An unknown park and an unknown murder case. There is vintage footage, a 'China Owns Biden' sign and the murderer still claims innocence and has been freed in 2020 after being in jail since 1961! There is debate on his guilt. This was made by the prosecutor's son. Clemency was sought.
The DA sounds like John Goodman. Back in 1960, flamethrowers were used to melt the snow. The park has a frozen waterfall. Did someone stalk the 3 victims? Cord played a part in the arrest. The killer confessed 9 times and then recanted. There are alternate suspects and death and this was okay. Was wickedness punished?
