Lucifer rises and then whines non-stop to get his vessel to accept him in. His vessel is named Nick, oh subtle. Meanwhile the brothers end up on a plane somehow; Dean’s fear of flying isn’t mentioned. The new opening credits do not impress. Dean draws an Angel banishing sigil without anyone noticing. Becky a fan of the brothers shows up to be annoying.
The brothers learn the truth about the Angel sword. Dean is the Archangel Michael’s vessel; he does not take the news well. Meg shows up. There is a terrible fight scene that is really badly edited. Castiel the writer’s shiny wonder toy shows up to annoy and do his Jack Bauer whisper.
The Angels won’t stop talking. Bobby annoys. Sam makes stupid faces and isn’t sorry. Dean lets him know he isn’t in a forgiving mood.
The flaws of the show: the whole stupid Angel plotline, Bobby shouting, Sam getting away with everything, Dean getting dumb dialogue and Castiel being shoved into every scene are on full display. This ep was goodish but it was also really annoying.
“Nice change up to the mythology.”
