Sea Spray
This was not staggeringly popular. There is scattergun content; rapid fire deranged content. This requires minium intellectual engagement. There is no meaningful engagement. Charlie dying and not killing Snyder did not make Will give up on the hair gel. People plot. Bram's sick of Will and people assert human value. This was entirely pointless.
Snyder plots. This was rather banal and there are no significant implications. Nonsensical people operate with presuppositions. There is anxiety and angst. Will doesn't dwell on the outlier issue. There is disturbing information and unwarrented assumptions. Will whines. This was implausible and Katie wants to be absolutely unquestioned. There is intolerant rhetoric.
Amy makes ultimateums. It is a highly sensitive time. Who are the other group above community patrol? It is a rancorous time. Katie is mischievous and incredibly selfish. Why do the Raps want outliers? This was a farce. Snyder has a messianic glint in this eye. There are polemics and calamity. Katie causes issues, contentious issues. Kynes has 2 phds. There is random violence and fractious times. There are persistent threats and disrepute and rumblings. Will says sorry to Amy. Snyder causes harm. There are serious implications and Will's ultra aggressive.
Bram takes Gracie and leaves cos she's been neglected. There are disastrous outcomes and worrying developments. Snyder is nasty and disheartening.
Best Lines:
“A plan for people like me.”
“Find someone for you to kill soon enough.”
“Re-pop.”
“Almost got you killed. Twice.”
“Crimeless utopia.”
“Somehow my life always leads back to him.”
“A life that you wanted to forget.”
“Take us to your people.”
Disposable Heroes
Nobody's increasingly alarmed. We see 2 doomed outliers in action. There is no significant impact. Is anyone genuinely concerned? There are fairly difficult situations. Why does Snyder have impunity? This goes on sorta engagingly. Snyder has conviction and determination. It is glaringly apparent that the Raps enemies are more than slightly aggressive.
Snyder has imperturbability. Do Will and Katie care about their children? They're never home and don't even buy food. They're less supportive than ever. Wayne Brady and Ally Walker guest star. Snyder is an insufferable, spiteful and grandiose.
Katie doens't mention her sister or nephew. There are unrealistic aspirations. This was a beyond ridiculous remarkably poor showing. Snyder has intractability. Is anyone vigilant? There is no urgency. There is a bomb. Helena shows up with schemes and intention. There is conflict and Snyder set off the bomb.
Snyder does unacceptable things with serious negative impacts. There are increased social interactions. Katie and Amy talk. Snyder has nonchalant confidence. This was awkward and inane. There are catastrophic narratives and no profound things. Snyder has never ending longing and emotional disengagement. People are obsessive. There are no meaningful conversations. This was emptiness.
There are no ambiguous people. There is no solace. This was a void and not delightful, brilliant or definitive. This was not tantalising. Why was there a random toilet in 3x09 for Will to try and drown Snyder in? This was a disappointment and an anti-climax. Nobody is discerning. Nobody acts felicitously. Bram talks like Billie Eilish. Anxiety levels are building. There is no magnificence. This was drab, inspid and vulgar.
There are blighted circumstances. This was not satisfactory. What is project phoenix? What does it mean that it's gone live? This was venturesome and Seattle is now a nightmarish place. This was ramshackle and matters are made worse. Will and Katie are as yet unaware of their rejection by their surviving family. It is absolutely chilling how bad they are at parenting. They're the Alice Crimmins of parenting. Bram is frighteningly lucid about his choices – he's rejecting the resistance and going Kylo Ren.
What is the arctic fabrication facility? Snyder talks about trained killers aka outliers. Kynes was building an Ark? Katie and Will ignore Gracie. They can't even buy fresh milk. Gracie eats 'standard cereal'. Who styled Amy's hair? Snyder is in charge.
Best Lines:
“Not as clever as we thought.”
“Planning a war against something else.”
“Always knew this was temporary.”
“God-forsaken.”
“In the proximity of a lot of tragedy.”
“Evil little sidekick.”
“Saw weakness.”
“You made the mistake of being good.”
“Out there. Plotting something.”
“Nobody asked me what I think.”
“Slave army.”
“Sacrifical first wave.”
“A war is coming and our planet is gonna be the battlefield.”
“Loser will fall.”
“Think that they will inherit the Earth.”
“Reboot of human civilization.”
Bonzo
There is a flashback. Who is Kynes speaking to? One of the Rap's enemies? Where is it?!? What was written on Kynes' arm? There's a command bunker that we never see. Did Kynes capture one of the enemies? Kynes is on the run. Do Katie and Will not care about their children? Bram is called in to work and Bram's sick of his parents.
The Community Patrol is restructured. How did Amy get across the city or Broussard, Katie and Will? Katie is told by Will she has to stay home cos she's a liability. Katie whines. The kids are inconvenient to Katie – who is an unequivocal ass. There are moral arguments. Bram comes home. Crushing oppression must be fought. Bram has grown bitter. Strong chocies are made. Bram is frighteningly lucid. There is dramatic momentum at last. This show is improving.
Snyder is a dick and ungrateful. There are disparate plots and there is a bit of betrayal. There are fascistic implications. There are no legal norms and nothing particularly new to say. This was tiresome. This was compelling and Katie's stupid and Kynes' poor sidekick dies. This was gritty and inevitable. This has nothing particularly new to say. There is an intergenerational psychodrama and Bram and Gracie are damaged and hurt due to being caught in Will and Katie's shadow. Kynes needs a trauma unit. This provides further frustration.
Best Lines:
“Of course they're dangerous that's why we're recruiting them.”
“Believe with me.”
“Dead or gone.”
“Never try to put glitter on a turd.”
“A labyrinth of his design.”
“Secret army of unknown size.”
“Taking private traffic off the street.”
“Humanity is at a crossroads.”
“Another war is starting.”
“Short history of our new world order.”
“Working for beer money.”
“I know what I'm looking at Will.”
What Goes Around
Snyder is scrambling. Helena has a cat? What about the cat? We see one of the enemy race attack. They kill without touching people. Helena dies. What happened to her cat? Will's not intrepid. Snyder's indifferent. Bram's done woth Katie and there are no binding ethical arrangements. Snyder is obscene.
Futures are snatched away. Things go badly and to peoples detriment. There is an ethical shift. Snyder wants privilege besowed. Katie won't stop her crap. Katie finally learns her sister is dead. There are hollow assertions. This final ever ep was wholly ineffective. Will Katie stop pulling crap? People are angry and fearful.
There is forebearance, bigging up of Katie and no contentment and no season 4. This ep was not an important contribution. Will voluneers to be sent to the alien war front lines and 149 others go along with him so the Raps will honour their word to defend the city. I abhor this. Snyder is an instigator and he redoes Kynes' office. There is a skirmish. Snyder shoots Kynes' friend. This was bleak and it tries for eerie resonances. This wasn't even obliquely interesting just irritating.
There is perseverance, over-riding pessimism, concerns and a pervasive sense of dumb. There is no traceless existence in the city. There are no emotional moments and this was unending. Will abandons his family. This was not sentimental and it moves from uncertainty to greater uncertainty. Aspirations were not met, this ends before anything too awful happens and the budget cuts prevent us from seeing anything of the great offscreen alien war.
Katie's selfish, this was clunky, Will did lots of demonstrative masculinity, Broussard is the big leader, there is no goodwill or passion. Snyder does stifling conformity. There is eventual boredom. Dark traumatic things happen and it is sobering how doomed they are. Nothing benevolent happens. There are intriguing hints and did Katie die when one alien beam of war hit the city?
Best Lines:
“Fight will happen in the skies above us.”
“Hold the whole city.”
“We knew that this day was coming.”
“Sacrifices will be repaid.”
“We've lost everyone.”
“Ones they warned us would come.”
“You've made your chocie.”
“What if we've pocked the wrong side?”
“It is a little late for that!”
“Every time we talk these days one of us is tied to a chair.”
“Why wouldn't they defend us?”
“Not the choice I would have made.”
“I'm still sorry.”
“What do you think is going to happen?”
“Nothing good.”
“I know what I'm asking.”
“Fighting on the front line of an unknown war.”
“I believe in this man.”
“Whisper dark ideas in your ear.”
“Why are they leaving?”
“To join the fight.”

Hello From The Gutters
From the maker of 'Cropsey'. This case was a beacon for lunatics and loonies. Maury Terry has single minded devotion to his belief that the Son Of Sam did not act alone but in fact was a part of a satanic cult. In 1977 NY was a dump.
There is vintage footage. The killer sent raving notes to taunt people. Jimmy Breslin was a reporter who taunted the killer. A young Rupert Murdoch is seen. A city blackout lead to riots. There are 4 eps of this. There were bus hijackings in NY? Geraldo Rivera is seen in vintage footage.
This was good and I skimmed a copy of 'The Ultimate Evil', Terry's book upon which this is based and found it a boring crazy tale. The Son Of Sam was arrested and annoying reporters yelled. There was a perp walk and smirking. The Son of Sam confessed. He was only 24 at the time, he remains in jail today. Paul Giamatti reads Maury Terry's words. Terry had conspiracy theories about the sick maniac.
Best Lines:
“A new version of the slaying.”
“A dark wind was blowing.”
“Dead in the street.”
“Demon dog story.”
“Taken his orders from a dog.”
“Mild mannered postal worker.”
“Deranged killer.”
“Now being strip searched.”
“Certainly not murderous.”
“Kept happening.”
“Afraid to do anything.”
“Psychotic person.”
“Terror sold.”
“Urban battlefield.”
“Crying of their victims.”
“Lowest qualities of previously peaceful people to surface.”
“Deranged madman.”
“Regular neighbourhood toughs.”
“Own moment of infamy.”
“Won't stand for that.”
“Outlasted Jack The Ripper and outdone him.”
Catch. 44
What do true crime myths say about the culture from which they originate? The Son Of Sam was way more newsworthy than Taylor and Burton. We see vintage news headlines. The loony conspiracy nut reporter Maury Terry grows ever more obsessed with the case. He took cynical advantage of the times and the case and had frustrating obduracy to his own wilful blindness.
The nutter Terry has horrible persistence and a belligerent attiude. He saw conspiracies and satan everywhere. He didn't want to write about computers, supply chains or lasers aka the wave of the future. Terry saw mystical mayhem everywhere and became convinced 2 brothers were the Son Of Sam's helpers – for reasons.
These reckless claims were made a lot by Terry who didn't want to accept that only the Son Of Sam had murderous impetus. The case derailed Terry's life. Terry was obsessed with the fact that the sketches were off. Did the Son Of Sam act alone? Maury Terry had a folie a deux – it never occured to him that the Son Of Sam could lie. This was ironically inadequate.
Terry can't accept that the police won't interview the unfortunate Carr brothers that he is harassing. Terry gave into satanic panic. Terry assumed people were killers based on their difficult history. Terry raved about a national satanic cult. We see a young Tom Brokaw.
There was no moral probity and Terry was annoyed that the cops were disinterested in his aggressive pretensions. This case was life altering for him. Terry saw satanic signs and startling resonances everywhere as he tried to comprehend the case. This limited series won't restore Terry's reputation. The man took a date to a Son Of Sam murder site on a date FFS!
Terry saw himself as morally superior. The Carr brothers died tragically. Terry had rampant paranoia. Terry is angry the Son Of Sam pleaded guilty and went mad in court. Terry seems divinely mad and made claims of a conspiracy and a group all over the country worshipping satan. Terry made tragic incidents into a conspiracy and linked the Son Of Sam to Manson – Terry even looked like a nut.
Best Lines:
“Reports of chanting.”
“Sombre reverence.”
“Born sceptical.”
“Cold and desolate.”
“Disturbing stories that only fuelled my suspicions.”
“Nobody had a nice word.”
“Motivated by very very strange things.”
“So many frightening revelations.”
“Doors were shutting all around me.”
“Tremendous hostility inside me.”
“Unsettling thoughts.”
“Beyond normal constraints of morality.”
“A there there.”

Misere
Liz is back. Did TPTB call the actress on her crap? Liz talks to a dead woman. This is a flashback ep showing what Liz has been up to for the last 3 months. Who is Skip? Liz's scar, never really addressed since 1x01 is brought up again. Where is Agnes during all this? Dembe has a daughter? Red is a murderer. Will Liz just shoot Red already? This was silly.
Best Lines:
“How many are coming?”
“Everyone.”
“Terrible people are after him.”

The Night The Cylons Landed
The cylons show up and one goes to a Halloween party and tries to take over Wolfman Jack's radio show – no really. There is a human looking cylon predating the reboot by decades. Talk of a 10th planet. Smoking on planes and Dillon and Troy reveal their lasers are not metal. Cubans try to hijack the plane Troy and Dillon are on. What galactic war are the cylons on about? The police bother Troy and Dillon again. William Daniels guest stars. Troy and Dillon crash a Broadway show. The WTC is seen. Troy and Dillon show off super-powers. A cylon is defeated by a microwave and then a garbage truck.
Best Lines:
“Skylab all over again.”
“Found the lost humans.”
“Dancing mammals!”
“Strange!”
“Just how unimportant you are.”
“So desperate for a husband, she once proposed to a mugger in Central Park!”
“No way back and we are alone.”
“The cylons will walk the Earth!”
