Star Trek The Original Series: A Contest Of Principles by Greg Cox
McCoy is kidnapped and takes on a female Rasputin. Kirk oversses an alien election that is an unsubtle Trump/Biden expy. Spock saves the day. This was an exposition filled, badly written, unsubtle piece of plain mediocrity. This was all pointless anyway considering 'Star Trek Discovery' season 3.
“Kept us strong and secure for generations.”
“You can't stop the future,”
“The enmity between Vok and Ozalor has endured in the collective memories and myths of both peoples long after the cataclysm sent them back to the dark ages.”
“You dishonor our martyred ancestors with every word out of your seditious lips.”
“How dare you impugn my motives,”
“Deserve no place in it.”
“Fade from memory with the passing of eons.”
Green Hornet Issue 4
Things don't play out logically or realistically. This was not immense fun. There is a Superman expy and childish old style art. Did Kato and the Green Hornet let some random steal their car? This was not over exciting.
“Drop your guns – or I drop you. Alphabetically.”
“Fortunately we arrived before any farmers or the media found the craft.”
“I don't know why a known criminal warlord would get involved in this.”
Undiscovered Country Issue 10
There is talk of neurolink technology. An Abe Lincoln lookalike talked of healing the nation. What is the Jureau event? This was woeful. Avoid this. What are godcores? There are bizarre sharks and whales. Why such social alternation and social restructuring? There are no compelling ideas here. Who is Dr Jain? There is incoherence and a dark secret revealed. I don't care about the crumbling society or the entirely different societies or this issue or what was once America and neither do the characters – they're oddly blase about the dysfunction they have long faced. There is civil disorder and bumbling ineptitude.
“Ain't my dream.”
“This land......is her land.”
“America was not built on fear!”
“Making sure the other side lost.”
“Society stagnates, and, eventually, collapses.”
“Not trying to outdo, the other.”
“Trying desperately to reinvent themselves.”
“Grand reshuffling of the nation's population begins.”
The Red Mother Issue 10
The heroine is in peril and is meanced. Again. The heroine, Daisy, her eye turns red. Her 'freinds' plot against her and this was dark and delicious and good.
“It was nice. He was nice. I need it. I needed something good in my life again. And then he left.”
Bros: After The Screaming Stops (2018)
This was a bad documentary about the one night only reunion of the 80s boy band Bros. Well 2 of the 3 former members anway. In the 80s Bros were made up of identical twins Matt and Luke Goss and Craig Logan. Now Craig isn't even mentioned or alluded to, just seen briefly in vintage footage. Luke and Matt are estranged and have long, endless fights.
This was like a bad parody. Matt and Luke have aged. Neither mention or acknowledge Craig. Former Brosettes show up to their concert. They did talentless plastic pop. Matt now does Las Vegas and Luke is an actor, whose career highlight was 'Blade 2'. Matt is horrible and one can see why Bros were nicknamed dross. Their reunion was one night only because their UK tour was cancelled due to poor ticket sales. Poor Luke.
“Never ending apology.”
“Might not be learning excellence.”
“The kind of hatred that I had to live through was reserved for mass murderers.”
“Deemed as useless.”
“Industry has not got behind us over the years.”
The Mercy (2017)
A nonsensical account of sailor Donald Crowhurst and how failure and the media lead to his death and ruin. He was not a particularly likeable man and he was given to Proustain melancholy.
Blue Velvet (1986)
Kyle McLachlan stars in this classic. But I didn't like this film noir about acitvely horrible people.
The Shape Of Water (2017)
This Oscar winning film brings no pleasure. It's grinding nemo. This was extraordinarily solemn and truly mad. One feels intense dislike for this crashingly dull film.
Black Water: Abyss (2020)
This is an Australian creature feature that is a travesty and fanciful. There are no grave obligations and this was not interesting. Acrimony is stirred and this was pathetic and idiots go into a cave. This amplifies existing stresses and this was not truly torrid. Crocs lurk. There is no gun safety. Tourists are missing and there is raw trauma and this was very trivial. There dismissiveness and distaste. There is buried trauma and shame and consequences.
This has the worst aspects of horror films. One has painful awareness that this is a 'Descent' knockoff. The victims are above all, middle class. This was not an immense achievemnt. This has no real value. This was not of any significance. This was horrendous. There is nothing very jlly about this.
The characters are really, really dumb. This was not audacious. They are reckless and revolting types. They are in an inescapable situation created by mutually conflicting forces. There is callous disregard for sense or logic. There is nervous reflection.
“What is that? Water? You're not pregnant are you?”
“Some nasty croc.”
“No one knows we're down here.”

Gluten free lemon Meringue pie – nice.
Patridge pate – nice.
Gluten free choc ganache cake – yum.
'Reign' went from Kenna being a ho and Bash pushing someone off a cliff to an unmitigated disaster and black absurdity.Mary was self-indulgent and rather callous – true to history.
I am worthy of being heard and supported. My ex has no compassion. He once swept me away with adoration. He has not respectful or mature. He completely ignored me instead of treating me like someone who deserved explanation and communication. My ex disappeared. He was cruel and callous and inflicted pain and confusion and refused to offer an explanation. Instead of acknowledging that what he did was cruel, disrespectful and immature. He is unapologetic. My ex has a lack of engagement and he's abysmal. I don't need my ex's sorry. I feel achingly sad sometimes. My ex turned inexplicably hostile.
There are cold fruit soups and brandy custard.
What is hazelnut cream or wet sauce?
What is Video Arcade?
I won't review 'Charmed' 2x15 'Third Time's The Charm'.
I'd try rose-petal ice cream and a chocuterie board and rosemary and sea salt dark choc and a chocolate and salted caramel star and pickled pumpkin with mint and chilli.
I want a vacheron constantin egerie. I want gold, lapius lazuli and yellow diamond drop earrings. I want an enamel locket and luxe lip balm and an amber glass and crystal hair pins and a rainbow sapphire eternity ring and a fir scented candle.

Terra Firma, Part 1
It's the mirror universe, again. The Terrans are opressors who have fear and they mould slaves into something that's going to work for them. The Emperor has changed being in the Prime verse whilst the mirror Lorca never could. The creepy old guy lurks and dark memories and untold truths surface. There is a mention of the JJ Abrams verse. This was not startling original. It is utterly compelling. The Prime and mirror universe are drifting apart, what the MU looks like now we don't learn, but we see it as it was when she was Emperor.
The Emperor crossed time and dimensions but still finds time to be rude to Tilly and have boastful arrogance. Discovery violates 2 Accords in this ep or rather the Emperor does. Why are people trying to save the murderous genocidal Emperor? There is a crisis motif. The Emperor is conquest-oriented and a serious evil.
People do purely pessimistic analysis of the Emperor's nature. Things are volatile, complex and uncertain. How many specices did the Emperor partake in the eradication of? Why are they saving her? She's into bullying and intimidation and conniving. The Terran Empire doesn't do democracy. There is an atmosphere of intimidation and constant fear there.
Terrans live in constant fear and one is well aware of what they do best: violence. The Terrans are their slaves gods and their culture demands utter subservience from slaves. Why are they fawning over her? Why does Tilly HUG her? There is an alien sky. Adira and Paul bumble. The Terran Empire is a way of built around slavery and appropriating other's stuff.
If a Terran orders a slave to do anything, they have to accept. Book is on board. Did the man who allowed the Emperor to travel across dimensions and time back to her glory days in the mu a Q? Is a slave doesn't follow orders, Terrans kill them. So slaves have to follow orders. Saru learns another of his species made the message Adira decoded. It's over a 100 years old. What's a dilithium nursery? Paul goes on about opening a backdoor.
The Emerald Chain are Kazon level lame. The Emperor now in her mu glory, unites with Captain Killy and her Ivana Trump hair. Killy goes on about an imperial shipyard and Earth defence systems and Lorca. Killy has a lot of blue eyeshadow on. Where's the real Lorca? The Emperor wants to change her destiny. The Terrans have flashy uniforms and mirror Paul plots.
There are elaborate bows and salutes. Mu Burhman and her dark lipstick overacts. There are weird wrist clasps. This was not sublime. The mu doctor has a red uniform. Landy is seen. Where is mirror Connor? Mu Burnham is a psycho and mu Sarus brushes the Emperor's hair. The Emperor and her massive headpiece recruits Saru.
There is a knife fight in the corridor that features fancy kicking and punching. The mu has interpretive dance. The Charon is seen again. Mu Paul had a knife but the Emperor put one in his throat first. The mu doctor doesn't react at all. Mu Burham is excited by violence. This was good. Mu Burnham ends up in an agoniser. David Cronenberg and Paul Guilfoyle and Rekha Sharma guest starred.

This show is entirely joyless. Dean wants to go to the craphole Atlantic City. Steve Bacic guest stars. This show is futility and who is Amara? There is a risk of imminent harm, allegedly. Jack and Castiel go on a road trip. Castiel has aged badly. Things are not fraught with peril or potential for devastation. There are no disconcerting feelings. There is ineptitude and laziness by TPTB. A demon who talks funny bores. He makes a 'Highway To Heaven' joke. That is dated.
There are mysterious murders. There is no human excellence. People are fractious and have categorically wrong contact with evil, which is shrugged off. This grows increasingly deranged. Dean and Sam cultivate anticipation of an apocalypstic event that promises a final resolution to their white male alienation. This was not gloriously absurd. This induces derison and it is not deeply affecting.
Castiel and Jack are derailing forces. There is desperation and this was a terrible calamity. There is no claustrophobia and panic. Castiel used to be badass and now he is all melancholy. There is no face of adversity. Dean has characteristically mournful regret and striking unsentimentality. Dean has resigned gloom and no moral spine. There is another inevitable crisis.
There is no capacity for happiness. Dean whines anbout his dead again mother. TPTB acknowledge that Mary was a bad mother and a terrible person. This was not horribly prophetic and Dean tries for scorching intensity and anguish and wrenching sadness. People are spectacularly untruthful. Dean became terribly aware that his mother never cared about him. There is deception and manipulation. This was tedious.
There is sexism and no fear, despair, grief or confusion. This lacks a plot or a moral. This was not competent or well-functioning. There is misery. There is no civility. Nothing exceeds possiility.

The Feed (2019) 1x01
Guy Burnet stars in this scifi drama. People are linked by tech and there may be something wrong with the tech. This was badly acted and dull. There are talk of resisters and the resistance.
“People are mental.”
