Terminator The Sarah Connor Chronicles 2x09 Review

Complications

Sarah's stress is taking a toll, she can't be her usual 'Rargh! I is strong woman! I has sex! I has guns! I is like man with boobs!' self. Meanwhile Jesse and the psycho eyed Derek deal with another time traveller. This time a man who collaborated with the machines, only after they deal with him does Derek realise the future has changed and they may just have created the man he became/will become. Ellison is acting sneakily and is up to something with the hideously dressed Weaver. The useless John and the fetisheised flake Cameron do nothing useful other than John gains the photo of his mother that he'll give to Kyle Reese. This was another useless, bad episode.

Heroes: Building 26 review

I am one more episode away from dropping this show for good. This episode was more of the usual turgid mess: Bennett is his usual controlling, abusive self, Sylar hangs out with his idiot sidekick, Clare gets a new boytoy to screw over and Ando and Hiro go on more adventures with no explanation as to how they are funding them. Hiro acts like a spoilt child, the Hunter bores, Tracy causes trouble and Nathan's team suffers more attrition. Mrs Bennett finally kicks out her crazy husband, just in time for him to be hauled off by Matt, Peter and Mohinder. This was dumb with idiot plotting. Why is nobody wondering why Nathan is suddenly doing this?

Angel After the Fall #17 review

LA is back to normal (sort of). Wolfram & Hart are gone, Angel's a city wide hero, everyone who died is back to life, Gunn's in a coma and Angel decides to reopen Angel Investigations. This was an okay read, a nice tie-up of the whole 'After the Fall' plot. Of course now Angel is known as the vampire hero it makes the whole vampires are good, slayers are evil situation in Buffy Season 8 more complicated.
Richard/Lost

Lost Season 5 Ep 7 review

The Life and Death of Jeremy Bentham

It seems that the Ajira plane either crashed or landed on Otherisle and new lostaways Cesar and Illana are making themselves at home. As is John Locke who is back from the dead after being killed by Ben. Poor John, he can never catch a break. He landed in the Tunisia exit point which Widmore has monitored by cameras (though apparently not when Ben came through). Widmore and Abbadon assured John that they're the good guys and Ben is evil and that he stole Widmore's leadership of the Others and tricked him into leaving the island.

John is ever eager to believe he's special and is apparently incapable of noticing when Widmore, Ben and Richard manipulate him. John looked up the Oceanic 6 only to laughed at, yelled at and told to go away in no uncertain terms. Then Locke learns Helen is dead. Then Ben killed him. Now he's back on Otherisle and gets an unkind glint in his eye when he sees the injured Ben.

This was goodish stuff. When are the Ajira air people? How is Locke alive? Why did Sun and Lapidus steal a boat? So it was the Ajira people that Sawyer and co had a shooting match with a few eps back? What are Ben and Widmore up to? Where does Richard figure into all this? Why did Ben flip out when Locke mentioned Eloise?

Best Lines:
"They're not the Others to me, they're my people."

"There's a war coming John."

"You have nowhere else to go.

Book Review: Blood Bank

Blood Bank by Tanya Huff

A collection of short stories about Vicki, Henry and Mike after their adventures in the five 'Blood' novels. If you enjoyed the books 'Blood Price', 'Blood Trail', 'Blood Pact', 'Blood Lines' and 'Blood Debt' or the short-lived tv show 'Blood Ties' that was based on the books, you should love this collection as it has eight short stories and the script for the episode Huff wrote for 'Blood Ties'.

This Town Ain't Big Enough
Vicki learns that another vampire is in her city and killing. So it's on! This is a nice funny story that features death by tanning lamp. This was very good.

What Manner Of Man
This is a tale of Henry's past with daring do in Regency England, this was good.

The Cards Also Say
An unbalanced man is stalking Vicki and its going to take all her humanity to stop him. This was good and Mike gets to be in peril.

The Vengeful Spirit Of Lake Nepeakea
This is a hilariously funny tale of Mike and Vicki on a working holiday in a small town. They come up against an obnoxious property developer and a lake monster. This was excellent.

Someone To Share The Night
Henry needs some loving, so he posts a personal ad. This was okay.

Another Fine Nest
Vicki vs giant, blood sucking, subway dwelling bugs. This was hilarious and very good.

Scleratus
This is another tale of Henry's past and how he avenged himself on the Inquisition after they tortured his mortal lover to death. This was dark but good.

Critical Analysis
Vicki discovers that a writer is the victim of his own creation brought to life by technology. This is a good tale.

So This Is Christmas
Vicki gets scrooged, this is an extremely funny tale.

Stone Cold
The script of episode 9 of the tv show. Apparently only 6 lines of Huff's original dialogue remains. This is an interesting read.
