Movie Reviews: Stir Crazy + Only You + The Burning + Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones

Stir Crazy (1980)

Gene Wilder and Richar Pryor go to jail. There is a rodeo and an escape and Craig T Nelson and gurning sterotypes in this unfunny film.

Best Lines:

“What did that second policeman say when he grabbed you by the throat?”

“Might as well set fire to the Pentagon.”

“A raunchy strip joint in town where tattooed guys hang out.”

“I wouldn't sit with him and I killed my stepdaddy.”

“Bottom layer of society.”

Only You (1994)

An 11 year old is told the name of her 'soulmate' by a ouija board. Later in life, just before her wedding, she runs off to Italy to find said 'soulmate'. This tale of adultery, stalking, gaslighting, hypocrisy and 80s hair is just awful. She meets another stalker and still chases her 'soulmate'. Marisa Tomei, Robert Downey Jr, Joaquim De Almeida, Fisher Stevens and Billy Zane star in this truly awful and dire film.

The Burning (1981)

This 'classic' slasher is terrible, sexist and inept. A prank nearly kills a caretaker. There is a nice soundtrack. Sexist pervs are shrugged off. There is reckless gun usage and random acts of violence and vitamins are shrugged off as crap. There is death and mediocrity. Jason Alexander, Fisher Stevens and Holly Hunter feature.

Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones (2014)
