Book Review: One Of Us Is Next

One Of Us Is Next by Karen McManus

This is a sadly unmemorable sequel to 'One Of Us Is Lying'. A truth or dare game strikes the school one year after the events of the 1st book. Idiot teenagers are burdened with blame for their thoughtless mistakes/misdeeds. There are no logical consequences.

Best Lines:

“Things change when they used to be around all the time and then suddenly they're not.”

“Sold drugs while on probation for selling drugs,”

“Nice Young Man Factor.”

“He's a soul-sucking waste of space.”

“I don't know how to make him stop.”

“You can go on your own, or I can take you. I promise you will not like it.”

“Professional-level petty.”

“You might've started outgrowing a thing that used to almost be your whole life.”

“How Many Of Knox's Books Can We Fit Into One Toilet?”

“Make good choices,”

“Eventually he's going to have to lose, because nobody can win forever.”

“I'll log it in the death threats file.”

“Refuses to forgive your worst mistakes.”

“I hate us, too.”

“Never had to face a consequence in his life.”

“Holding on to resentment is like drinking poison and waiting for the other person to die.”
