Fringe Season 2 Ep 2 Review

Night of Desirable Objects

The gang investigate strange disappearances and wind up facing off with a mutant killer in a creepy house with a creepy scarecrow. Also Peter and Olivia just need to do it already, fake Charlie is really obvious and Walter has a moment of empathy with another man who just wanted a child no matter what. This was very good. Did Peter know he and Olivia were being watched? Does Nina Sharp wear a wig? Olivia nearly shot Peter. Speaking of Peter, he knows how to kick a door down. Is Olivia's super hearing a symptom of her traveling? If there are consequences to traveling between universes, what about the consequences to Peter of living in another reality for 24 years? Peter and Walter bond some more, which you just know is going to fall apart in a hugely ugly fashion some time soon. Walter can be clueless, both in his relationship with Peter and the whole creepy dead son/replacement goldfish kidnap victim fake son.

Best Lines:
"Traveling to an alternate reality has its consequences."

"There's no body, looks like something dug its way in."
"Or dug its way out."

"We're all victims of our own gene pool. Someone must have peed in yours."

"Hughes may have killed his wife and child 17 years ago."
"Finally some good news. I assume we can dig them up?"

"A son, who from all apperances then burrowed his way out of his casket."
"A grave of a boy, who is not in his grave
."
