American Ultra (2015)
Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart star in this idiot film in which a stoner learns that he exists solely to serve another person's needs. There is no depth or complexity and no urgency. A dude has open hostility toward the stoner for no good reason. This was not chaotic fun. One feels incredulity and derison for this film. There was an annoying baddie with bad faith.
This encourages indency. There is exposition and the plot is stubbornly resistant to logic. This whingefest co-starred Topher Grace, Connie Britton, Bill Pullman, Tony Hale and John Leguizamo. This was profoundly stupid.
“Wanna drop some acid? Go inside a titty bar?”
“Naw that's okay. I'm, it's 8:15 in the morning.”
“Killed 2 dudes in a parking lot!”
“Armed with a spoon sir.”
Get Hard (2015)
Will Ferrell, Kevin Hart, Craig T Nelson, Alison Brie of 'GLOW', Paul Ben-Victor the 'I-Man' gork, John Mayer, T.I and Greg Germann star.
A rich guy, James King (Ferrell), inspires hatred and is not magnetically villanious – he's just seemingly unconcerned with being as stupid and unpleasant as possible. This okay comedy was laughably pretentious. King is arrested for his terrible choices and gets 10 years in jail.
King makes a friend (Hart) whose job is to get James ready for prison. Why haven't James' house and money been seized? Naturally King's ankle monitor plays a part in the finale. This was bad taste comedy.
“Just me, that computer and an 8 million dollar loan from my father.”
“Get to another level of anger.”
“Look forward to 10 years of it.”
“Great big turd.”
“Choking on a mouth full of balls.”
“Prison school's in session bitch!”
“Mad dog face.”
“No problem hurting you.”
“Watch your back on the yard.”
“You was up in it!”
“Thank you once again for taking the knife out of my head.”
“We strapped up.”
“He loves putting me in the hole.”
“You murder people all the time.”
“Ready to kill for you.”
“Dead ass serious.”
“My gang name.”
“The Sea Note.”
“I was in Nam and I f**king loved it!”
In The Line Of Duty: Hunt For Justice (1995)
Adam Arkin stars alongside Dean Norris and Miguel Ferrer. There is murder, irrational reactions and exposition. This still bored.
