The second entry in the OSI urban fantasy series. Occult Special Investigator Tess Corday is caught up in yet another murder case. But this latest case is more shocking and disturbing than any that have gone before. Tess and her allies will have to make a stand against an inhuman perpetrator.
This was an excellent follow up to ‘Night Child’; the world building in this series is fascinating. There are fascinating characters, untold back stories and a twisty turny plot in this book. This is a juicy, delectable, absorbing read. If there is a flaw it’s that Battis does go overboard with the pop culture references. There is one, sometimes two, on every single page. Still this is a fantastic read.
