Trailers, Quotes and musings on issues 90-94 of Misty

‘Tomorrow, When The War Began’ (2016) Season 1 promo
I didn’t know there was a ‘Tomorrow, When The War Began’ TV show! Idiots learn they are at war. Looks naff.

Best Lines:
“We’ve got something for shooting rabbits.”

“No one is coming to this country’s rescue.”

‘The Mist’ 1x02 promo
Trouble in a mall, violence and breaking glass. Looks good.

Best Lines:
“The Lord will protect us.”
“I’d like to know when.”

‘Reign’ 4x03 promo
Gideon takes up screen time, he never bloody existed!

‘Shoestring’ (1980) clip
Daniel Day Lewis as a radio DJ - the hair!

Superboy’ (1988-1992) clip ‘Roads Not Taken’.
That costume isn’t inconspicuous, bad flying VFX and there is an evil Superboy who dresses like the Terminator. There is 80s hair and bad acting.

Best Lines:
“You know what’s inside me.”

“He always got away.”

Freddy’s Nightmares’ promo ‘Sister’s Keeper
Twins and 80s hair. Twice the terror indeed.

‘Dynasty’ opening credits
Wealth, helicopter shots, that dude who played Blake, Linda Evans’ carcass, Pamela Sue Martin with her mouth open, a load of no names and dramatic tie-undoing. There is also Heather Locklear, Catherine Oxenberg, Maxwell Caulfield, Kate O’Mara, Stephanie Beacham and Michael Nader. Ah, Dex.

‘Catch Me If You Can’ (2002) promo
No.

‘City Of Angels’ (1998) promo
No.

Lemon meringue pie - yum.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’ sounds interesting.

I’d try an ice-cream barlour.

Recall the wretched Sky1 reality show ‘The Villa’ (1999-2003)? I once knew someone who was on it.

Anyone see the 1982 ‘Night Warning’?

‘Maniac Cop 3: Badge of Silence’ (1992) was dissatisfying. ‘Stay Alive’ (2005) was crap and flippant.

I will review season 2 of ‘Colony’.

‘Agents Of SHIELD’ Quotes:
“These guys might kill somebody besides each other.”
“Yeah us.”

‘Dr Phil’ Quotes:
“In the drug chain.”

“I didn’t know that was still going on.”

“Ruined yet another family celebration.”

“Passed out on the toilet.”

“Wine boxes.”

“Driving a car into a neighbour’s front yard.”

‘Daily Mail’ Quotes:
“Reportedly kicked him out of their martial home, for becoming involved with a shifty crowd.”

“Friends who she deemed a bad crowd.”

“Suffered the consequences quite badly.”

‘The Sunday Times’ Quotes:
“A hint of bra.”

“Talked derogatory.”

“A media pariah.”

“Cultural mockery.”

“Angry-looking meathead gym guys.”

“Concern level.”

“Can’t make her see how he’s not any good.”

“Did not belong to the family any more.”

‘Sunday Independent’ Quote:
“Sounds like it really has been thought about.”

‘The Irish Times’ Quote:
“With no friends, no job, and no confidence.”

‘TVnow’ Quote:
“We didn’t have any threats of violence from them, which was a good sign.”

‘3 News’ Quote:
“His good name was affected by that.”

‘Tucker and Dale vs. Evil’ Quotes:
“Guys like me fixing their toilets.”

“You are a good looking man. More or less.”

“Ladyfolk.”

“The only ones in these here woods.”

‘Downton Abbey’ Quotes:
“I do not know you.”

“Only one hall-boy.”

“Who has an under-butler these days?”

‘Hollyoaks’ Quotes:
“Look at your sad life.”

“That serial killer’s sister.”

“I work out. A lot.”

“Faking a drug overdose.”

“Grand-dad shirt.”

“I didn’t cause any harm, not this time at least.”

I read ‘Misty’ issues 90 to 94. This was good, how did it get cancelled and subsumed into ‘Tammy’? ‘Madhouse!’ is an okay tale of trapped idiots. ‘Take The Money!’ is a ripoff of a well know sci-fi tale. ’Food For Thought’ features a UFO that looks like the USS Enterprise and sees 2 girls eaten by aliens in this okay pro-vegetarian tale. ’Your Time’ was okay. ’The Gate-Crashers’ sees the title characters get got. ’Long Way From Home’ is an intriguing tale of girls trapped in a haunted house.

These stories feature cops uninterested in missing people or child neglect, ignored bullying, a lot of aliens who look like ’Planet Of The Apes’ and some stupid endings to okay stories. ‘Flight From Fear’ is a morality tale that matters very little. ‘Danger Demons At Work’ sees a girl mocked for wearing glasses, but only she can see the demons digging up her street and very stupid and insignificant people ignore her. This was okay. ‘Girl Who Knew The Fairies’ is dumb. ‘The Window Box’ is a tale of a klepto and is daft.

Best Lines:
“You’re both criminally mad and should be locked up!”

“You mummy’s milksop?”
