Trailers, Quotes and musings on issues 45-52 of Misty

‘Lethal Weapon’ promo

‘Unforgotten’ promo

Raspberry/Tropical Punch Nerds - okay.
Maple, toasted rice & pink salt 74% organic dark choc - nice.
Icebreakers Sours - nice.

I will review ’Shadowhunters’ season 1 ‘Prophecy’ and ‘The Fates’.

Anyone see the 1970s drama ‘The White Stallion’?

I hope to see ‘Phoenix Forgotten’.

The new ‘Star Trek’ novel covers are bleh.

Vicki Kriegler of ‘Deadly Lessons’ was in the ‘Vampire’ ep of ‘Fantasy Island’ in 1978.

I won’t read Diane Franklin’s book.

I didn’t like ‘And The Band Played On’ (1993).

‘Dr Phil’ Quotes:
“Why doesn’t he move out?”

“Attention from men.”

“Tripped over a shoe.”

“So desperate for male acceptance and approval.”

“Irrational and irresponsible decisions.”

“Selfish to allow it.”

“Moved a sex offender into our home.”

“Very disappointed in my mom.”

“Questioned your judgement.”

“Living with a parent of questionable judgement.”

“Discontinuation threshold.”

“Men with questionable pasts.”

“You set your house on fire?”

“Yet a different fire.”

“The house was set on fire.”

“Money hungry terrible mom.”

“Aggravate to the point where there’s a confrontation.”

“The police were chasing him through a field in his underwear.”

“No one in their right mind would go into my brother’s house.”

“Isn’t rational thinking.”

“Peed on the headboard.”

“Homeless is about 6 days.”

“Butting into my life.”

‘The Irish Times’ Quotes:
“A quit pack.”

“Preventative care.”

“Moral position.”

“Minor personal flaws become massive turning points.”

“Our interesting life!”

“Known for brandishing a machete.”

“Confronted by a mob.”

“Manifestly excessive manner.”

“Human trash.”

“Strongly negative public reaction.”

‘RTE News’ Quotes:
“At their most distressed.”

“Plays into that narrative.”

‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ (book) Quote:
“I wonder how she manages to get herself noticed. I think it must be hard.”

‘The Daily Telegraph’ Quotes:
“Impending personal catastrophe.”

“You’re not gonna be great again.”

“News of further unravelling.”

“A barometer of changes within national life.”

“Rumours of thwarted parents abound.”

“Liberal sexual practices.”

‘Scannal!’ Quote:
“Conspiracy cannot be one sided.”

‘The Chillenden Murders’ Quotes:
“Regular thief of items such as lawnmowers.”

“Guilty because they’re criminals.”

“Low level shed burglary.”

I read ‘Misty’ issue 45 to 52. ‘Home Sweet Home...’ was devoid of any redeeming quality. ‘The Girl Who Walked Through Walls’ was not good. ‘The Sad Eyes Of Sorrow’ about a monster at a carnival was silly. ‘Rope Trick’ was mean. ‘The Ghost of the Butterfly Ballet’ was ridic. ‘Happy Birthday, Spooky Sue!’ was not good. ‘Miss Cassidy’s Cat...’ was a good tale of an old lady menacing yob who gets got. ‘If Only...’ is a tale of a body swap that backfires and it was good. A lot of the stories were not impressively relevant despite this being the comic’s apex popularity.

There are ominous presences all around and pretty dark things happen to pontificating twits. ‘Green Fingers...’ was terribly grubby and inglorious. ‘The Girl Who Stole The Stars’ is about a girl who make the stars go out by making wishes. The ending is a cop-out sadly. ‘Danse Macabre’ is a memorable tale of a ballet student who steals ballet shoes and ends up facing ghosts. It was good. ‘Who Pays The Ice Cream Man?’ was a dumb tale. Just so you know fat people and or working class people are cold and harsh and are usually shady adversaries.

Best Line:
“Nasty things happen to snobby swots here.”
