Book Reviews: The Hell-Hound Of The Baskervilles + The Cat

Warlock Holmes: The Hell-Hound Of The Baskervilles by G.S. Denning
This is the unexciting sequel to ‘Warlock Holmes: A Study In Brimstone’. This brazen lunacy is inept and deserves odium and contempt. It’s all about calamitous consequences, lack of decorum, contested claims, unconvincing excuses, disgraceful conduct, opportunism and covetousness. But none of it is any good. This has none of the charm and humour of Book 1.

Best Lines:
“Your work cannot be recanted.”

“Something fundamentally, terribly wrong with him.”

“Beyond even the salvation of death.”

“He is terror, given shape.”

This Ladybird book is funny.
