Movie Review: Stoker (2013)

This weird and creepy film was written by Wentworth Miller. A widow (Nicole Kidman) and her daughter (Mia Wasikowska) have the dead man’s creepy brother (Matthew Goode of ‘Watchmen’) show up. There is staring and murder. The uncle causes perpetual anxiety and this was not a positive narrative. This was done with grim heavy-handed sincerity. There is piano playing and gross disobedience. The dead father was played by the git from ‘Crisis’ and ‘Copycat’. There is an uber-creepy flashback to the childhood sin of the creepy uncle.

Best Lines:
“Perhaps you and I could talk.”
“We are talking.”

“Those opinions are neither wanted, needed or appreciated.”

“I just have to love you a little bit less now.”
