Recall ‘The Tripods’ (1984-1985)? Or ‘Gentle Ben’?
Series 3 of ‘Black Mirror’ does not sound impressive.
Recall ‘Nurses’ (1991 - 1994)?
I saw Watermelon poptarts. Yuk.
I made chocolate mousse.

“Another attention getting ploy.”
“If this then why what?”
“I need validation.”
“I plotted people’s deaths.”
“She still hasn’t apologised.”
“How not sorry she was.”
‘The Irish Times’ Quotes:
“Like Jeremy Kyle with guns.”
“Behaving in a threatening or abusive manner.”

“Other forms of rationing can be so subtle they don’t attract headline condemnation.”
“Normal families do not do everything together.”
“We should be suspicious of seemingly perfect families.”

James hinders joy. Marnie and Mac are Sid and Nancy. Marnie enthuses over Mac and lies. Neeta overhears stuff. Mac sneers. James laughs. Joe does not regard Mercedes with affection. Mac sneers at Neeta. James sneers at Mac who sneers back. Mac says Marnie will never choose him and he is getting back with Marnie to spite James. Poor James and his deliberately obstructive father. Mac has rendered his name a byword for dishonour for generations yet unborn. James does still silent reactions and works through his issues. He is so damaged.
James goes to a solicitor to try and make a historical abuse case. Mac once pushed James down the stairs and broke his collarbone for beating him at chess. Celine’s got fat. Myra’s scam unravels. Joe annoys. Marnie has moved in with Mac. Alfie’s lizard has vanished. James plots revenge as he fears he’d lose the court case.
“Any of Mercy’s weddings.”
“I can’t stand the horror.”
“Use the posh plates.”
“I get the moody treatment.”
“Just a violent thug.”
“Even back then I was a competent liar.”
“No, not that time.”
“One that I wouldn’t forget.”
“It didn’t end well.”
“Special shows of affection.”
Then came another ‘BSG’ ep ‘Scar’ in which the awful Kara and Kat hunt a cylon raider. Kara inhabits a superior moral universe and is unbiddable. She’s awful for no immediately apparent reason. There is no cool competence or societal norms here. People whine about regrets and mistakes.
Then came a ‘Supernatural’ ep ‘Scarecrow’ in which John is a bad dad. Sam meets Meg. Dean is nearly killed by a pagan god. This was not very significant. ‘The X Files’ is ripped off. This wasn’t rational and Sam is confounded by and resents Dean. BTW it is obvious that those aren’t apple trees.
Finally there was a ‘Charmed’ ep ‘The Last Temptation of Christy’ in which there is a bad picture and bad acting as Billie and her evil sister bond. There are no basic standards of decency and no cultural enrichment. The charmed ones are deeply secure in themselves and their achievements. This was not a lark. Christy has her normal gal persona on. This ep had limitations and was not a worthy endeavour. The charmed ones have an unhealthy penchant for smugness.
