Trailers, Quotes and a 2001 Tape Tale

‘Satanic’ trailer
This horror sees people visit satanic panic sites. They do a stupid ritual and bad things happen. Oh yeah.

Best Line:
“What the hell was that?”

‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle: The Secret Of The Ooze’ (1991) promo
No emotional depth.

Clark’s Magic Steps ad
This 1980s ad sees a girl in a manky shoe shop get the shoes and end up in a forest. The forest creatures send her on an adventure involving a key, a chest and a witch. She steps on the key and the witch is in the shop. This was a brilliant ad and it seems unconscionable cruelty that one didn’t get a pair.

Best Lines:

“Just trust your magic shoes!”
“Magic shoes?”

~
On ‘Neighbours’: Toadie and his corpulence is arrogant and disrespectful, petty, mean and hurtful. Where did Nate’s PTSD go? Paige keeps showing off why the actress is a bra model. Are we sure Aaron and Nate are a couple? Because they never act affectionately. Karl and Susan act as the carers for wayward teenage boys, amnesia sufferers and the emotional well-being of Karl’s many, many mistresses. Nobody has sweat ponds. There is no stoically borne tragedy for Terese. Her clothes have to be a gag.

~
Cleared out a 1998 tape. It began with an ‘X Files’ ep ‘Anasazi’ which was dull and full of unarticulated and inarticulable secrets. There was a good cliffhanger though. Then came a ‘The Pretender’ ep ‘Silence’ wherein Jarod has confrontational moxie in a dull ep. Then came a ‘Relic Hunter’ ep ‘Vampire Kiss’ in which a vampire (Adrian Paul) has swinging bachelorhood and this bored. Finally there was another ‘The Pretender’ ep ‘Stolen’ which was cotton candy carnage.
