~
On ‘Hollyoaks’: Mrs Lovejoy does not sniff out the Larry Clark brand sleaze going on between her son and fake daughter. Tony faces the wrath of the Consumer Institute. Alfie is accused of stealing Jade’s cancer fund. Fake Lisa is not a really vivid character. Under butler Scott is a tool. The new family are like Japanese knotweed, they just won’t go. No family unit is secure and benign. The new family are condescending. Ste is perpetually angry, common, resentful and huffy.

Where is Lockie? Nancy accuses Darren of gambling, again. Every relationship is fast souring. The fact that the Roscoes and Darren are related has been forgotten. Lindsey and her corrupt self-importance are not in this ep. Where is the horribly misused Kim? Where is Harry and his dreary barrage of whining? Where is Maxine? Why is Nancy such a disrupter? Tony is fined and Jack stole the cancer fund. This show is wilfully incompetent.

Best Line:
“Dating sites are common.”
