Book Review: A Mountain Walked, part 2

A Mountain Walked: Great Tales of the Cthulhu Mythos edited by S.T. Joshi, part 2
Sadly this tome had no éclat.

A Gentleman From Mexico
I’ve read this before. A man takes umbrage at meeting Lovecraft’s reincarnation or something. Dull.

The Man With The Horn
A nosy old biddy learns the truth about her reclusive neighbour and his apartment of vagueness. Dull.

John Four
A tale of a ruined Earth after the Old Ones rise. Has no conventional arc.

Sigma Octantis
A loony plans to remake the stars in a cataclysmic strike. People have valid objections. Dull.

[Anazazi]
A tale of alienation and fundamentally disconcerting aliens who make contact in terminal circumstances that costs humanity dearly.

The Wreck of the Aurora
This isn’t weird fic, it is just dull.

Beneath The Beardmore
Institutional memory and arctic horror. Dull.
