I’m tired of Carol and her hysteria and wannabe defiant stance. Carol and Daryl mumble. Why is violence Carol’s answer to everything? They cross a bridge full of ‘campers’. Nobody thinks to look up the old folk’s home from season 1. The dude who escaped the hospital shows up. Daryl and Carol are awful callous people. No-one has any sense of fairness or decency in this non-coherent and dull episode.

Best Lines:
“How did we get here?”

“We ain’t somewhere else!”

“Let’s see what we see.”

“It ain’t happening again.”

“What’s it gonna take?”
“A lot.”

Cole’s in 2017 and the plague has hit. Why are they showing CDC newscasts worldwide? Cole is taken to Cassandra at the CDC. Outside Jennifer is ranting. Meanwhile in 2043 Jones is devoid of authority and yet plans an attack on Spearhead to steal their power core. People go along with this and there is no general outrage. Foster (Xander Berkeley) is murdered and his people are massacred. Marcus goes along with this. Ramse finally listens to Elena when she tells him Foster had a cure and Jones destroyed it. Jones is crazy. Where are Deacon and the West 7? There are flashbacks to 2041 and how Cole and Ramse met Splinter. What happened to the dog? This okay but Cassandra dying of soap opera disease and Cole being an idiot is annoying.

Best Lines:
“Worldwide casualties are unknown.”

“This is some cult.”

“We haven’t seen Deacon or the 7 in years.”

“The thunder of fallen men!”

“That is our salvation.”

“Not even the immune are left standing!”

“You’re sorry? That’s nice.”

Divine Move
2043: Ramse doesn’t want his son erased and has dissent so he sets fire to Splinter and leaves. Cassandra and Aaron bond in 2015 until Cole the selfish dick shows up. Aaron is sick of Cole and speaks sense but Cassandra doesn’t listen. Aaron gets a visit from the Army of the 12 Monkeys ‘Don’t Fear The Reaper’ plays. Ramse does insurgency and meets the nomadic tribe known as The Daughters who are led by a familiar babbling face. Information is dropped. In 2043 something bad happens and Ramse plots. Max resurfaces. Cole’s an idiot and this was good.

Best Lines:
“How is this happening?”

“They’re gonna come for that.”

“Will judge us for what we’ve done.”

“1987 is the end game.”

Ramse is in 1987 and freaking out. Cole’s a moron and Leland Goines (Zeljko Ivanek) wears a bad wig. The vacant looking Cole is an idiot and can’t see that he is causing the very disaster he is trying to prevent. Ramse is stuck in the past and is reached out to by the Army of the 12 Monkeys. The Army of the 12 Monkeys go on about their next cycle, have a nice HQ and babble.

Why is the Army of the 12 Monkeys a death cult? Why do they want to provoke the end of time? Why are they looking forward to the end of time? Why is the obliteration of humanity at the heart of their creed?

There are red leaves, disheartened Ramse chooses a side and Cassandra has ongoing unconditional positive regard for Cole’s havoc causing. The Army of the 12 Monkeys have been very busy behind the scenes. What was wrong with Jennifer’s mother? Jennifer and Leland have a difficult relationship and it takes a toil on her emotional wellbeing. Who are the 12? Aaron gets a new job and yells. The origins of Spearhead are made clear.

The Army of the 12 Monkeys manipulate Jennifer. Splinter is doomed. Marcus cracks. Jones freaks out. There are lots of emotional statements in this inconsistent ep. I can’t stand the crazy blank deadbeat Cole. He wrecked his friendship with Ramse and for what? I'm firmly on Team Ramse.

Best Lines:
“Himalayan road kill.”

“You people use too much laxative to cut your coke.”

“You have become who you need to be.”

“We have so much to show you.”

“Witness with us.”

“A company that manufactures the virus, Markridge.”
“We should invest.”

“Rita Hayworth and a tiny hammer.”

“Something never said out loud.”

“What hope?”

“There’s nothing out there Marcus and never will be.”

Chilton (Raul Esparza) resurfaces to be smug and chat and plot to catch Hannibal. Nu-Verger is bad. Will dreams. This was dull and infuriatingly arty. Jack looms. Will’s psycho. Alana is splayed out. People mumble. Margot Verger looks well. Bella dies. Where is Lass? Where is the awful reporter? Mason blathers and hires a dubious nurse. Will’s dogs show up. Alana, Jack, Will, Chilton and Mason plot. Yawn.

Best Lines:
“First thing you did after getting shot in the face was copyright Hannibal the cannibal.”

“Hannibal Lecter likes him that way.”

“Are you wearing makeup?”

“Framed and maimed us.”

“How many bones did he break?”

“Friendship with Hannibal is blackmail elevated to the level of love.”

“If I had lips I would smile.”

“If my brother offers you chocolate. Politely refuse.”
